29th Culinary Art Festival of the white truffle, linked with the National Truffle Fair of Moncalvo

The exclusive dinners with truffles are completely sold out. The rich menus consist of about ten dishes. At least three of them are served with 10 grams each of Magnatum Pico.

The first two dinners have been good, and most probably the last eight will also have a great success. Affirmed chefs of the Monferrato will propose these exclusive dinners with truffles during the 29th Culinary Art Festival of the white truffle, linked with the National Truffle Fair of Moncalvo. The excessive prices of the last years, sometimes over 100 euro, have been reduced to 85 euro. The rich menus consist of about ten dishes and at least three of them are served with 10 grams each of Magnatum Pico. Two of the specialties presented during the first evenings, have been particularly praised: a delicious ice cream, developed by Fabio Novo of the restaurant ‘Centrale’ in Moncalvo (‘Crumble of hazelnuts with pears and Moscato d’Asti’), and a rare recipe of Giovanni Goria, proposed by Marzia and Marco Scanavino of the ‘Santisè’ in Calliano: ‘Baked risotto with codfish and white truffle of Moncalvo’.

The next restaurants offering the menu are ‘Corona Reale’ in Moncalvo (tomorrow night), followed on Saturday night by the ‘Monferrato Resort’ in Cereseto. On November 20 the ‘Castello di Marisa’ in Castell’Alfero, on November 21 the ‘Casot’ in Serra Perno, on November 22 the ‘Tre re’ in Moncalvo. On November 28 the ‘Bella Rosin’ in Moncalvo, on November 29 ‘All’acino d’uva’ in Cunico and on December 5 the ‘Sant’Uffizio’ in Cioccaro di Penango.
